The New Jersey Forest Service and Jackson Pathfinders will host the seventh annual Full Moon Hike on Thursday, August 14 at 6:30 pm at the Forest Resource Education Center (FREC), Jackson.
Scouts, families, and groups of all ages are invited to this free event.
The glow of the rising full moon will light the way as we explore the plant life and animals of the Pinelands. Adventurous visitors are encouraged to use their “night vision” and not rely on flashlights to see as the night falls. Interpreters will stop at points along the trail to listen for birds, identify plant species, and discuss wildlife. During past hikes, the Jersey Devil has appeared – so keep a look out for him.
Wear sturdy footwear and insect repellant for this moderate hike.
