The SPIRIT of the JERSEYS State History Fair would not be possible without the support and assistance of many individuals and organizations. We would like to acknowledge and thank the following organizations for their generous support of our history fair programming.

The Delaware & Raritan Canal Watch has generously agreed to sponsor Mr. Richard Pawling who will portray canal boat captain "Cappy Hummel". The goal of the Canal Watch is to protect, maintain, & promote the recreational, historical, aesthetic, & environmental qualities of the Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park & its environs. It assists & supports regional, state, local, & private enterprise efforts which contribute to this goal.

Delaware River Mill SocietyThe Delaware River Mill Society was formed in 1976 shortly after the State of NJ had aquired Prallsville Mills.  The Society obtained a long-term lease from the State which gave them the responsibility to "restore, preserve, operate, maintain & interpret" the site.  The Mill has become a place of cultural & environmental events.  The Delaware River Mill Society is organizing & sponsoring the 2012 NJ State History Fair Art Exhibit.

Marc Dowdell has donated handmade wooden bookmarks for this year’s Fair exhibitors.  This token of appreciation for our exhibitors takes nearly 10 hours to complete one bookmark.  Mr. Dowdell will be interpreting an indentured servant at the Johnson Ferry House during the Fair.
