The NJ State Park Police is a progressive police department. All of our officers are sworn State Law Enforcement Officers who are PTC certified. Officers carry weapons and have all the arrest and law enforcement powers of any police officer in this State. Our officers are members of the Police and Fire Pension system.

The New Jersey State Park Police is currently seeking Intergovernmental Transfers from all Civil Service Police Departments at this time. The department is currently undergoing major changes that will make it a premier law enforcement agency in the years to come. This is a fantastic opportunity for any Civil Service IGT Officer.
Qualifications
Requirements for Intergovernmental Transfers and Lateral Transfers:
- Police Training Certified (PTC)
- Active in a Civil Service Department
- Member of the Police and Fire Pension System
