The New Jersey State Park Police work in partnership with the local communities surrounding our state parks and forests to keep in touch with the changing trends of modern day policing.
They host multiple events and programs throughout the year to benefit the local communities and to inform the public of their services.

2007 State Park Police Annual Toy Drive
The New Jersey State Park Police at Wharton and Bass River State Forests are joining forces with the Pinelands Charge Churches to hold a holiday toy drive to benefit those in need in the local community.
This is the fourth year hosting the toy drive, which benefits children of all ages. New and unwrapped toys for boys and girls, from infants to age 16, may be dropped off in designated boxes at any of the following locations: the Atsion Recreation Area office on Route 206, the Batsto Visitors’ Center in Wharton State Forest; Farmer John’s Food Market and the Nesco Liquor Store on Nesco Road; the Sweetwater Casino on 7th Avenue; the Country Cupboard on Pleasant Mills Road; or at the Bass River State Forest office in Tuckerton.

Island Beach State Park in cooperation with the NJ State Park Police will host a weekend of camping fun and environmental education with the Jersey Shore Council’s Boy Scouts of America. Stay tuned for more information.
