It meanders between boulders along gently sloping terrain, and passes by the beautiful and remote Lake Rutherford.  We will be hiking as far as Lake Rutherford and then back making it approximately a 3½ mile hike that will take about 2 hours. The terrain ranges from easy to moderate and the trail surface at times is rocky and uneven, so sturdy footwear is recommended. Meet at the Appalachian Trail parking lot located about a half mile south of the Park Office on Route 23. Please bring water and feel free to bring a picnic lunch and join April after the hike. Hike may be canceled in the event of inclement weather.
